Penguins of the Antarctic In-Person / Online
Join Dr. Kristine Hoyt as regales us with tales of the Penguins of the Antarctic.
Dr. Hoyt grew up in Cumberland Maine, but has lived the last 32 years at Higgins. She attended Bowdoin College and went to veterinary medical school at the University of Wisconsin. In 1999 she opened Cats On Call Veterinary Hospital here in town and only just retired last year. Her two passions are animals and travel. Although she is no longer practicing locally, she still donates her energies to veterinary work in Africa. She has spoken here previously on topics ranging from the Galapagos to leopard tracking in Botswana. Now that she has retired, she will have more time for collecting experiences for future armchair presentations.
As this is a noon program, feel free to bring a brown bag lunch! Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided by the library.
Registration is requested, but not required. Feel free to just show up!
