BIO:

Roger McCord is a career journalist with multiple New England Emmy and Maine Press Association awards as a content producer of “Chasing Maine” for themainemonitor.org. But he says his best work was as a stay-at-home dad for 10 years. He and his wife, Dr. Su Sepples, live in Cumberland. Their two grown children have flown off to Boston and NYC.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

“Flight of the Phoebes”— Roger’s first children’s book, a second is underway – has a narrative arc that “all young birds leave the nest, and so do our curious children.” The protagonist is Maya, a curious young girl, as she and her dad talk about life, growing up ... and 'leaving the nest' as they watch the birds progress from hatchlings to flight.
