sid sibo lives in western Wyoming with gratitude and respect for the Shoshone (Newe) and Bannock (Pannati) peoples who have long stewarded this landscape. Former occupations include: wilderness ranger, whitewater camp boss, backcountry guide, log peeler, library staff, carpenter, NGO assistant, deli slicer, gas station cashier, market gardener...you get the picture!  In 2019, sibo earned an MFA from the Stonecoast fiction program in Maine, then the 2020 Neltje Blanchan Memorial Writing Award, and has work included in Best Small Fictions 2022, Reader Centered Writing, and the charity anthology Maine Character Energy.

A career in public land management provided wide-ranging explorations in cultural and natural ecologies. Landscapes, research and partnerships offer story seeds and character insights. Short stories and flash fictions have been published in Orca, Cutthroat, Cardinal Sins, Brilliant Flash Fiction, Evocations, and Fourth River, among others. Over thirty rescued animals share our cabin and small farm. All author proceeds from The Scent of Distant Family will be donated to animal welfare, and the first contributions have been sent to Best Friends Animal Society, Lucky's Place shelter, Internatl. Fund for Animal Welfare and Canine Companions.

Jen Dupree is a librarian, assistant editor of The Masters Review, editor at Literistic, and former bookstore owner. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Souther Maine's Stonecoast program. Her work has appeared in December, Solstice, Wordpeace, On the Rusk and other places. She is the winner of the Writer's Digest Fiction Contest for 2017, and a 2022 winner of a Maine Literary Award. She lives in Maine with her husband and Portuguese Water Dog, (Pink) Floyd.
