Scarborough Public Library Strengthens Community Resilience with Backup Generator

The Scarborough Public Library will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the installation of a new backup generator. This is a significant investment that strengthens the library’s role as a community resource during emergencies and natural disasters.

The event will take place on May 21 from 12:30 to 2:00 at the Scarborough Public Library. The celebration is free and open to the public.

The new generator ensures that the library can remain operational during power outages, providing reliable access to electricity, information, and essential services when the community needs them most. With this addition, the library is better equipped to serve as a safe, accessible hub during times of crisis.

Community members, local officials, and partners are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting and learn more about how the library is preparing to help Scarborough in times of need.
